Introducing GPEx

GPEx has been appointed as the preferred provider of Educational Services for the Country SA PHN program to deliver continuing professional development for rural GPs and other primary care professionals across regional South Australia.

GPEx is the South Australian Regional Training Organisation (RTO) which delivers training to doctors selected to specialise in general practice in Australia. We are a provider of the Australian General Practice Training program that is administered by the Department of Health and funded by the Australian Government. GPEx is built on GPExpertise, centred on GPExperience and a vision of GPExcellence.

GPEx is excited to announce that beginning in May 2017 we will be delivering GP Extend across rural South Australia. GP Extend is a series of needs-based, face-to-face regional workshops, where GPs and the primary health care professionals can extend their knowledge and skills working together to facilitate more positive patient outcomes. Specific information about workshop dates, locations and content can be found on the GPEx website at

To tailor the GP Extend program to your needs we need to hear from you. A needs analysis survey will be distributed to all rural General Practices in April and we encourage you to get involved. We look forward to working together to extend your education and training to meet your needs and those of your local community.

See you at a GP Extend event near you.
