ASHN/SSHC - Sexual and reproductive health update: lessons learned from COVID-19

The provision of sexual and reproductive healthcare is essential to optimise the health of people living in Australia.?However, the social restrictions in place during the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted both the need for these services and the ability of providers to deliver them.

This workshop will update General Practitioners on changes in sexual and reproductive health provision and services during the pandemic. Expert speakers will raise awareness around STI testing and treatment, contraception and abortion in a COVID-19 context, and the vital ongoing role GPs play in delivering this care.

Learning objectives are:
• Describe the impact of COVID-19 on the sexual and reproductive health needs of Australians
• Discuss the changes to sexual and reproductive service provision during the pandemic
• Outline the ongoing implications of the pandemic for sexual and reproductive healthcare
