Play a key role in improving housing in regional South Australia!
South Australia has a unique opportunity to advance housing outcomes for all South Australians and we want you to play a key role. As part of efforts to develop a new long-term plan for housing in our State, an important sector roundtable about housing and homelessness in Whyalla and the Eyre Peninsula is being held at Whyalla and you or a member of your organisation are invited to attend on Monday 124 August 2019 10am - 1pm.
This will be one of seven Regional Development Area roundtables being held across the State to ensure that regional housing issues are captured and responded to as part of the 10-year Housing and Homelessness Strategy. Local community have an opportunity to share their views about local housing issues and potential solutions during an informal ‘drop in’ session later in the day (4pm – 7pm) at the same venue.
The roundtable will focus on:
- identifying the key housing issues for Whyalla and the Eyre Peninsula Regional Development Area together with potential solutions
- reviewing key outcomes and initiatives identified in Towards a Housing, Homelessness and Support Strategy – Strategic Intent, developed by the SA Housing and Homelessness Taskforce
We have also now launched a strategy-specific engagement platform, talkabout.housing.sa.gov.au. Talk About Housing is where all stakeholders can see Strategy updates and engage with different questions, discussions, ideas boards, maps and more. Please visit Talk About Housing, complete the very simple registration process and participate in the sector conversation.
Please circulate this invitation to your professional network. Community housing providers, developers, health and community service providers, Aboriginal representatives, local and state government delegates are all welcome to attend.
