Diving for Body, Mind & Spirit
I continually read how dangerous scuba diving can be. I find this assertion a little irritating because, although there are deaths and accidents, it is overall an incredibly healthy sport. I don't want to analyse the death and accident statistics in this article except to say that good training, reliable equipment, personal fitness, diving within your capabilities and common sense go a long way to making it safer. But most people forget about the life-prolonging and enhancing aspects of diving; the relaxtation, the physical fitness, the social interaction, the adventure, the connection with nature, the bliss of diving.
