Regional Access, is a free service, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to anyone over 16, living or working in regional or remote South Australia, feeling the pressures and stresses of everyday life.
Hepatitis A Outbreak
Cases of hepatitis A continue to be reported in South Australia, with a further 6 cases reported in the last week. There have been a total of 19 notifications in 2017 and 13 since the 1st of November.
Important information about the National Cervical Screening Program and women under 25
Cervical screening is not recommended in the renewed program for women under 25 years. Some women under 25 will present with an expectation for screening, having had previous Pap tests.
Delay to Self-collection for Cervix Screening
The Commonwealth has advised that the option for eligible women to self-collect a cervical sample will not be available from 1 December due to delays in the process of accreditation of the tests.
